K-Teams - Computer-Supported Collaborative Knowledge Construction Laboratory

K-Teams The aim of this research laboratory is the fundamental and applied research and development of software products (groupware) for supporting and analyzing work in virtual teams  (Computer Supported Cooperative Work – CSCW) using chats, forums, blogs, wikis, folksonomies and semantic web, including the usage of mobile devices for computing and communication. A special emphasis is given to Computer-supported collaborative learning systems (CSCL), supporting group creativity, the analysis of the web interaction using social networks and other visualization tools, as well as advanced methods for sociology analysis such as ethnomethodology and conversation analysis

We perform an interdisciplinary research in the following domains: knowledge based systems, ontologies, semantic web, formal specifications of the semantics of web services, natural language processing, text mining and social networks.

We are working in the following interdisciplinary fields: group creativity, conversation analysis, linguistics, sociology, cognitive psychology, computer ethics.
